On March, 9th, 2026 Bailey's Books held a book giveaway event at Valor Academy Elementary School, one of the three in the Brightstar program. The students' excitement when they saw the selection was infectious. I had never thought restocking books between classes would be a sport, but waves of students came in so fast I was almost sprinting to grab more books from my stockpile to refill the empty spots. By the end, every single book found a new home and I learned a valuable lesson about the positive correlation between excited students and the speed at which books disappear from a table.
