Going into this event, there was a part of me that was worried the kids would not want books, or be somehow lackluster in their enthusiasm. I could not have been more wrong. Each group of students eagerly rushed to the table to choose a book, displaying a level of excitement I had not seen before-some even danced out of pure joy. Many were genuinely surprised to learn that they could keep the books they selected, not just borrow them, and the expression on their faces made the entire experience unforgettable. One book has the power to change a child's life, and I'm deeply grateful for the opportunity to share some of the books I cherished growing up.
